VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia State Police tell 10 On Your Side they are investigating an incident in the Bay Colony neighborhood of Virginia Beach. We are working to learn more about what led to the investigation.
A neighbor tells WAVY News the investigation is in relation to a shooting incident. A witness adds that a portion Lee Road is closed off by crime scene tape.
In a statement, troopers said, “Due to the sensitive and ongoing nature of the situation, no further details can be released at this time.”
They are asking people to avoid the Bay Colony neighborhood as of Sunday afternoon.
