HOUSTON (KIAH) – The family of a murdered nursing student is taking legal action, said her death could have been prevented. In April, 23-year-old Elizabeth Odunsi was found stabbed to death in an off-campus student housing complex in Southeast Houston. Her roommate, 40-year-old Chester Grant, is charged with murder. Now, Odunsi’s family has filed a lawsuit against Grant, the housing provider “For A Place To Live,” and the tenant screening company that placed him.
