Dr. Oz’s swearing-in ceremony at the White House on Friday came to an abrupt end when a young girl fainted at the event. Dr. Oz had been sworn in as the new administrator of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and had his family and President Trump there for the occasion. Afterward, Trump took the podium to answer questions from reporters, but about fourteen minutes into his remarks, he was interrupted as a voice shouted from the audience that someone had apparently fainted. Many rushed to aid the individual during the hectic moment as staff quickly told press to leave. In a statement to multiple outlets, the White House confirmed, “A minor family member fainted during Dr. Oz’s swearing in ceremony in the Oval Office. We are happy to say she is okay.”
