During a recent parents’ weekend visit, Mark Wahlberg had an unexpected adventure when he joined his daughter Ella at a fraternity party at her college in South Carolina. Wahlberg, accompanied by his wife Rhea Durham, recounted the lively experience, emphasizing the unparalleled fun he witnessed.

In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Wahlberg described the scene as “nuts,” expressing amazement at the vibrant college atmosphere. He shared that being a part of the fraternity house festivities was an eye-opening experience, even surpassing their trips to places like Vegas.

Reflecting on this visit during an appearance on the “Today” show, Wahlberg admitted feeling some regret about missing out on college life himself. He noted how observing his daughter and other students during the weekend stirred thoughts about the experiences he bypassed.

Wahlberg, known for his roles in “Boogie Nights,” “Ted,” “The Fighter,” and “The Departed,” began his career in entertainment as a teenager. He initially joined New Kids on the Block, formed by his brother Donnie Wahlberg, before venturing into a solo music career with Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. His transition to acting started with the film “The Substitute” in 1993, leading to a successful acting career.

In his interview with Entertainment Tonight, Wahlberg humorously remarked that had he gone to college, he might still be there, enjoying fraternity life as a perpetual student. His time at Clemson University, where his daughter studies, also reminded him of his aspiration to be an athlete. Wahlberg told Fox News Digital that he often lives out this dream through his roles in movies, playing characters like Micky Ward in “The Fighter” and Vince Papale in “Invincible,” as well as other athletic roles, allowing him to fulfill his athletic ambitions vicariously.
