President Donald Trump’s week keeps getting worse in the polls.
According to Newsweek’s polling tracker, Trump’s net approval rating, as of Friday, stands at -11 points, with a 43% approval and 54% disapproval. The outlet noted that it is the third time he has dropped to the figure since he started his second term — and it remains his all-time lowest score.
The compilation follows a poor outing from the president in polls released this week, with many revealing that his approval rating is riding a downward trend.
A Reuters/Isop survey, which compiled data up until Sunday, found that 41% approve of Trump’s job performance, while 58% disapprove — a dip of 6 percentage points since the start of his term.
As of Monday, the American Research Group puts Trump at a 37% approval and 58% disapproval. On the same day, Gallup found that satisfaction among Americans with how things are going in the United States is at its lowest since Trump took office, with only 29% saying they are satisfied.
Meanwhile, a YouGov poll, released Tuesday, found Trump at a new low in net approval since January. The share of Americans who somewhat or strongly support the president’s performance dropped 5 points this week from last, now at -18. His approval has specifically taken a nosedive among every age group and most races.
A Quinnipiac University poll from Wednesday found that Trump remains unpopular across seven top issues for voters, including immigration, foreign policy, trade, the economy, gun violence, the Russia-Ukraine war and the Israel-Hamas conflict. The poll also showed Trump with a 38% approval rating and a 54% disapproval rating.
And according to pollster Nate Silver, who tracks Trump’s ratings on the “Silver Bulletin,” his approval rating fell once again after “a string of bad polls.” Polling on Silver’s dashboard shows that 43.9% of Americans approve of his job as president, while 53.3% disapprove, leading to a net approval of -9 points, which is his lowest since July 24.
The polling comes as the White House — and Trump himself — have continued to tout his approval numbers.
While speaking at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump said: “I was very proud to see this morning I have the highest poll numbers I’ve ever had. Part of it is because of what we’ve done on the border. I guess the other part is what we’ve done on the economy.”
The official White House account also weighed in on Thursday, writing on X that “57.11% of Americans APPROVE of President Trump! MAGA!” Trump had posted the same graphic on his Truth Social platform early Friday.
Although it cites a poll from Rasmussen Reports, the polling firm, as of Friday, has Trump with 49% of likely U.S. voters approving, and 50% disapproving, according to its website.
