CLARKE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Did you see the massive equipment being hauled along the highway on Wednesday in Clarke County?
‘You just can’t leave somebody out there to die’: Foley woman looking for answers after hit and run
The Clarke County Emergency Management Agency announced on Sept. 10 that a large piece of equipment would be moving through the area on Sept. 17.
The move happened, as scheduled, but people who witnessed it may have wondered: What was that?
That piece of equipment was a boiler that was removed from a barge in Jackson and relocated to Alabama River Cellulose in Perdue Hill.
The boiler was described as being 24 feet wide, 22 feet high and 221 feet long.

It was moved on a portion of US 43 north and US 84 until it reached CR 39.
