White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt echoed Donald Trump’s anti-media rhetoric during an interview with The Daily Caller published Monday, describing CBS anchor Margaret Brennan as “stupid.”
Trump was speaking with Caller reporter Reagan Reese about the media coverage of himself and his administration when the talk turned to Brennan, the host of CBS’ Face The Nation.
“Margaret Brennan. What do you think of her?” Trump asked.
“She’s stupid. You can put that on the record,” Leavitt said.
“She’s nasty,” Trump added.

Leavitt agreed. Trump then praised Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s combative exchanges with Brennan.
It’s not the first time Leavitt has ripped journalists.
In fact, during an appearance on the Ruthless podcast, she revealed how she and White House communications director Steven Cheung often search online for experts named by reporters in their inquiries, flag their political affiliations and then send back Wikipedia entries in a bid to discredit them.
