Toyota recalling 590K vehicles: If you have one, bring it to your dealer immediately

Sep 18, 2025 | Uncategorized

Toyota is issuing a recall for more than 590,000 vehicles, the automaker recently announced.

The recall includes certain Toyota Crown, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry and Highlander vehicles.

It also includes certain Lexus LS, RX and TX cars.

However, the model years for each of these vehicles are unclear and will not be released until the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration releases an official recall notice.

Here’s why Toyota announced the recall and what you should do if you own one of these models.

Why did Toyota announce the recall?

Toyota announced the recall due to a 12.3-inch display panel malfunction which could cause the panel to be blank when starting the car.

This could make drivers unable to see a car’s “malfunction indicators,” increasing the risk of a crash or injury during a crash.

“If malfunctions occur while driving, continuing to drive could lead to an increased risk of a crash or an increased risk of injury in the event of a crash,” Toyota said.

What should owners of these recalled vehicles do?

Customers who have one of these recalled vehicles will receive a notice by mail in mid-November.

In the meantime, they can bring their vehicles to their local dealers, where they will inspect the panel and either repair it or update it at no cost.

Those with additional questions about the recall can contact the Toyota Brand Engagement Center at 1-800-331-4331.
