It feels like we’ve been hearing about Donald Trump’s new Rose Garden for months now.

It went from looking like this:

^That’s Mar-a-Lago for context.

Well, he finally got to hold an event there and he’s calling it the “Rose Garden Club.”

Trump hosted a slew of Republican House and Senate members for the big unveiling.

On the menu was a Rose Garden salad, New York strip steak, thyme-roasted chicken, a summer pasta primavera, and for dessert a fudge-filled seven-layer cake.

The evening was full of Diet Cokes.

There were plenty of autographs.

And obviously a speech from Trump himself.

But while they were sippin’ on sodas and getting their programs signed, people online were making comments about the event: “I know St. Louis restaurant patios that look better.”

Another person said, “They turned the Rose Garden into the patio of a Cheesecake factory.”

And then a bunch of people said something to the tune of, “God I can’t wait to see this bulldozed.”

“Can’t wait to see this ripped up and restored to its former glory in 3 years.”
