Fox News personalities’ grumbling over Gavin Newsom’s trolling of President Donald Trump continues.

On Tuesday, it was prime-time host Jesse Watters who once again railed against the Trump-mocking antics of California’s Democratic governor, that has been getting under the skin of the president and his allies.

Watters said, “Greasy Gavin is out there jocking Trump’s style. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But why doesn’t Gavin imitate his policies?”

Newsom’s office account on X, formerly Twitter, zingingly replied of the Trump policies question: “Because they are trash.”

Newsom’s own account later added of Watters: “Still doesn’t get it.”

The governor has repeatedly pointed out that his trolling and imitation of Trump is not intended to copy the president’s style, but rather to highlight the absolute nonsensical nature of much of what he says.

It’s to shine a light on “what is going on in this country,” Newsom told MeidasTouch Network’s Adam Mockler last month. “You have the president of the United States that’s acting like a child, and you’ve got the chatbots on Fox that repeat 24/7 and are weaponizing his grievances, attacking vulnerable people, traumatizing communities.
