ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – The city of Maplewood, located in St. Louis County, was nominated as one of the best places to retire in the United States.
According to GoBankingRates, a publication that writes about retirement and finances, Maplewood is recognized for its affordability, safety and quality of life.
The publication rated the city’s livability score 87/100, citing low crime and average monthly housing costs at $2,810.

Residents of the city receive benefits from the Parks and Recreation Cooperative, which includes programs and services.
Maplewood’s mayor, Barry Greenberg, reflecting on the city’s accomplishment.
