Actor James Earl is officially retiring as the voice of Darth Vader in Star Wars. Jones has played the iconic voice as Darth Vader for decades, but don’t worry, he has signed over his voice rights to Lucasfilm.
The first time the actors voice debuted as Darth Vader was in the original 1977 film. Jones has signed over the rights to this voice for them to use Deepfake AI technology that will let them recreate his voice keeping Darth Vader alive for generations.
